shovelnose catfish trouble-- disease?
I got a shovelnose catfish (aprox 6'') from my LFS about 4 weeks ago. He's been doing great in my tank; no issues. When I purchased him, he had a weird bump on his side, near his anal vent. The guy at the LFS said it was a scar from a bite, and the fish was only 15$ so I bought him. Well, the 'bump' got larger and larger, and has split into what looks like two bumps, and is breaking the skin of the poor shovelnose. Does anyone know what this is? Im worried it could spread to my other fish. it looks very red where it's coming through the skin. At first I thought it was a tumor or something, but now it looks more like a white-head/ acne type thing that is about to burst. Help! any help appreciated. Also, i just noticed a red spot on his tail. If anyone wants a closer pic I'll get another.
