short amusing LFS story

SOoooo im in one of the out of the way LFS' in the area and i see they have clown plecos. I called the woman over to bag one for me... in the tank was a clown pleco, and after some online ID work, a rhino pleco. She calls over her co worker (instead of asking me) and asks her which one is the clown pleco lol the second woman replies they sold out, the one I thought was a clown pleco was a rhino pleco, and the one i thought was the rhino pleco was a common pleco, which was most definitely not a common pleco lol

so i just let it go and had her bag up my "rhino" pleco, which is a clown pleco, and just for kicks I ask her how big i can expect my new rhino pleco to get. she tells me up to two feet for all plecos! ive never seen a 2 foot long clown pleco lol I still go there for the odd ball stuff they get in (bought two apistogrammas we later identified as resticulosa for 4 bucks a piece ages ago lol) but yeah not so much for the advice services :)

Dedicated, converted, lowes / home depot bulb buyer!

I have a not funny story about two red tail sharks that were sold to me as cherry barbs.... Granted the price tag below the tank did say cherry barb... and I paid the $2 for the pair. And when I brought them back the next day with a picture of a cherry barb and a picture of their aggressive little fish. I got my $27.50 back.... Yeah I dunno either, they realllllllly couldn't understand why I would return $13 fish and only want a buck a piece for them. Their stupidity cost be about four hours total so I consider it a fair refund. I went someplace else and bought plants instead. They're not as likely to try to eat my guppies.

That's funny and sad, all at the same time.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

I'ts mostly sad. Also highly tempting when I'm trying to get within my budget on a weekly project. I could just buy some of their mislabeled fish then exchange them for what I want.... BAD BAD BAD. I keep trying to remind my self that.
