I'd go Malaysian as well. I've had several experiences with fungus growing on Mopani (never seemed to be toxic, but I've heard enough accounts to be wary. I'd say it's a low probability though.)

My personal favorite though is Manzanita. I LOVE that branchy look.
I actually collect my own sticks from a local hardwood tree and use them in my tanks, instead of buying wood.
