Seachem De-Nitrate?

Tried it once, it was a pain in the but. If I remember correctly you are suppose to put some directly in the filter, which is fine for a canister, but pain in the but for an HOB or intank as it likes to float up and get into the tank magically escaping from the filter sleve even when I tried it that way. I only have it because it came with a free tank and supplies from a friend. I don't think it is worth spending the money, when you can keep a tank properly running without it.

I would say keep to water changes, and possibly the liquid ammonia/nitrite/nitrate removed in extreme emergencies.
