safe animal to cycle tank(live)

what live animals can i safely cycle a tank with? can live shrimp cycle a tank faster than fish food?
i am thinking of cycling a 10g fish tank with ghost shrimp from PetSmart, is that safe?

Its pretty much the same as using dead shrimp, cuz those shrimp won't live for long in a cycling tank. Fastest way to do a traditional cycle is with actual ammonia. Other then that you can skip/jump start by cloning or seeding.

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk
