one of my angelfish was acting slow and lazy for the past week and yesterday i saw my two silver dollars attacking it! they jumped out of the water and got dove back in and attacked it! also they took off its tail an eye and half of its body nasty right!? well i only saw when the silver dollars were staring at it and they nipped it a couple times but i thot that was nothing.but then my mom told me that she saw them attacking it.she wasnt gonna save it cause it was gonna die anyway it wasnt breathing right and its fins were falling apart. tell me what u think of this blahh!!
i know. i might be losing some of my guppies they r all staying vertical instead of horizontal and the fry r staying still too. i just changed the tank around.do u think they need to adjust more?
what are you water parameters? when you say changed your tank around....what all did you move around? if you changed out all your gravel, you might have caused a mini-cycle.....
so, what did you change exactly and what are the parameters?
i changed around all the plants and stuff and i did a 75 percent water change cause the water was filthy and i havent did the w/c in a while cause ive been very busy.but they r all acting wierd even my fry! i didnt change the gravel just the plants and i added something new.i added a breeders net to put the small fry in which r about 10 and the rest r in the tank which r about 16 but i might just release all of them cause the adults dont seem to mind now.
I have a planted tank, do WC's when I can (between every 1-3 weeks) and I never gravel vac- My tanks never been "filthy". Do you mean algae or detritus (poop)
it was algea and i just lost my pregnant guppy so now i have 1 female and 3 male and im gonna leave it like that cause after they all die im gonna get platies or something. is 4 platies ok for this tank?
i know that but i started out with more females than males and now i only have 3 males and a female left. i know i have to go to the pet store and find more females but i dont want more fry atm. i was at the pet store yesterday and i saw a bumblebee platy and i want it SO bad so when i go im going. i might get 2 or 3 of them cause they r cheap and small. well as for my female its not getting attacked at all.
