so i have been insipired to re-do the 60. as it's time for batman to have a new hiding place and to make things look a little nicer. it's been changed a lot with the plants as batman isn't to keep on the whole "planted" thing but i have hopes for carefully placed plants that will not be in his way. also this will allow me to unclutter the tanks a little more. i am going to try my hand at making some decor with rocks and sealant. nothing to fancy to start off with. will tweek it as i go i guess. lol. this is def a learning experience. also asked my lfs to order me some java moss as i want to cover the rocks and wood in it....that way i can create a nice look. also hoping that with enough hiding places, and moss i can eventually add some shrimp.....successfully...but i don't have very high hopes for that AT ALL. lol. just a wish. but we shall see. maybe i will try one or two ghost fish once i get this set up. who knows...it could work.

have started putting together one of the decor items...sadly my son has started taking apart that same item. lol. but it's ok. it's coming along. this is going to take more then a weekend. lol. prob a week or so of putting together these decor items, then i can put them in the tank. as it's 48 hours for it to be put into water....so......waiting game here i come!

so i forgot to mention i have bought root tabs. i am going to see if i can get the sword plant to shoot off some babies. that would be awesome. i think it's big enough to become a mother plant...that is for sure. wish i would have measured it before i put it into the tank but i would guess it is at least a foot across!

thank you. i am feeling motivated to do the other tanks now. lol. will be a fun project. i think hector's tank is next and the betta tanks, as i will be moving plants around those three tanks to better suit each one. it will be fun to play around with them a little bit and see what i can make, thinking of doing something fun in one of the bettas with the slate. i have LOTS left over. lmfao.

am completely in love with this new set up. and more importantly the fish seem to be also. they are swimming all around the leaves of the sword, and between the wood and rocks. they appear to be much more happy about it. thinking of trying some ghost shrimp in there. if nothing else will make a great snack. lmfao

I always get a little more charged up about the tanks in the colder months. I'm no fan of cold weather, so I tend to spend a lot more time indoors. I plan on upgrading my light by downgrading my fixtures. Might replace the old single tube fluorescents with 2 bulb incandescents and use CFLs. That arrangement is working great with my 20 gallon tall.
