Thanks everyone. Sand sounds great, so I think I'll switch. :D

Now the task is to find a good sand. Any recommendations as far as brands and grain size? Something that isn't going to get sucked into vacuum would be great, and hopefully I can buy it in small volumes (<5 lbs at a time) because of the small size of my tank.
