replacing lighting in a 40 gallon

I am upgrading to a 40 gallon planted tank. It is a seaclear 40 gallon 36 inches long. The lighting that came with it is too dark, only 20 watts and very dark. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do. I was going to but a wave point high output t5 fluorescent 2 lamp aquatic lighting system 36 inch 78 watts. I wanted to ask if there was another type of bulb I could use in the seaclear hood before I spend the money on that.

thanks
