Exclamation Rena Smartheater 200w + Add On Filter option

Ive just bought a Rena SmartHeater 200w. Ive got a box full on pump filters to choose from separate kind. But now there the option to having a filter xp2 or something joined on to the Rena SmartHeater.

Whats the advantages and disadvantages to both pump filters?

thanks

Welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

First off, filtration should be suited to the specific fish species in the aquarium. Not all fish need (or appreciate) the same type of filtration and (especially) water movement. So the tank size, plus an indication of the fish in the tank (or expected to be in the tank), plus whether or not live plants are intended, will help us in answering your question.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business.
