Regular sterilizing of tools?

I have a highly contagious worm in the tank right now and read that I need to sterilize all nets, siphons and other tools after every use. I have no idea what I can safely use to do this since I know that soaps, bleach and chlorinated water can all hurt my already sickly fish. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

do regular wc and make sure you siphon out all the worms you see swimming around. try putting fish in a bucket and wash everything with hot water.use all new filter media coz the old ones could contain eggs.use a worm eradicating medicine in the main tank.wash and soak everything with hot water is the safest as no chemicals are involved.
