Red Worm like larvae?

I was looking in my tank and was watching one of my MTS and noticed a small little gel like substance on a leaf of my hornwort. it looked as tho something was in it. and After researching eggs from the fish i have I noticed it was not a fish egg. So i cut the leaf and put it in a small bowl and used a knife and pealed the gel away to notice a small red worm that looks like an inchworm. it has a distinguished head. what looks like small legs right behind the head. and a tail or another set of legs on the very end of the body. Just wondering what this could be? and is it harmful? It is how ever the only one i have seen after vigorously examining the plants.

P.S if this is in the wrong section can a moderator please move to the right forum please.

This thing is smaller than a Mosquito larva, and is really hard to take good pictures.

Check this out.

Chironomidae

Your fish should eat it and no, it's not a problem, just another insect larvae.

I think that is what it is. Looking as close as i can tell it resembles it a lot. i know i took it out of it's cocoon to soon. but the tail resembles it. so that actually helped a lot. i had been trying to find anything on line to help. But that is actually the best details i have gotten.
