Qustion on water, filtered or straight tap?

I had a question, I have been using filtered water for my fish tank. I have a built in filter in my faucet that comes out a small nozzle. Is it ok to use just plain tap water?

Plain tap water is fine but of course if your on a municipal water supply it should be treated for chlorine. If your on a well, I would test (I discovered I have very high nitrates in my well water).

Father Knows Best but Abbey knows everything! I once knew everything, then I asked one question.
