I have a danio in my tank that I would love to get rid of. I tried making a fish trap but the shrimp n my tank are the only ones that go in it. It's pretty hard to use a net because there are a of plants that he can hide in and that I don't want to hit and mess up with my net. Other than removing all the plants and using the net on him is there another way to get him out?
You can try using two nets, using one to chase him into the other. If you do this when the lights are out you'll have better luck than if the lights are on.
I have found that the two net method along with draining down the tank to halfway mark or lower, can make it bit easier to catch fish.;-)
