@mean Harri - I'm planning on painting the bottom of my tank - saw a DIY website that uses texture paint and black paint to make it look like sand...

After much research and waiting - I think that I'm going to try some Anacharis - I heard that goes okay with goldfish, and I'm getting some for my pond anyway.

Here's my idea - using the terra cotta pots upside down and poke them through the holes - only concern would be if they needed much water circulation under the pot.
