Hey so I got a filter today... It's the tetra whisper pf10
It's really nice for the price and I have one in my 10 gallon and the flow is perfect in there. So now I have a 5 gallon for my betta and I was having trouble finding a good 5 gallon one. I've heard mixed results with the internal tetra filters.
Only probably with this one is it's probably too big for the tank. I need a gentle current for my halfmoon. Could I just stuff in with media like floss or something? Also I'm not sure what to use as a prefilter (Because his fins get sucked into it right now) I got a 'imagitarium replacement filter sponge' but I might return it because it's very coarse and looks more like plastic than sponge. All the sponges cost like, 5 bucks at the least. I've heard from people they can easily find like a 2 dollar sponge to use at their LFS but all I have anywhere near me is petco and petsmart.
Any advice/tips? Thank you much in advance!
Really eager to figure something out so I can get this little guy's ripped fins to heal!
