Question on stocking a 20gallon tank

Here are the fish I am wanting to put into it (will be added after tank is cycled etc.):

6 Glofish Tetras
10 Glofish Danios

My question/s:

Is this over stocked?
If not, suggestions?

The combination and number of fish is fine. It would be a good idea to get your water parameters. Do you have the type of light meant to show off their colors, like blue LED, or what ? My son has a glofish tank with the blue LEDs. Needless to say, live plants won't grow in that tank. It has glowing yellow, orange, purple, and red artificial plants. We use activated charcoal in the filter for that tank and change it every two weeks without fail. We also use an air pump for better gaseous exchange. If you intend to use normal light and perhaps add plants, that's a whole other story. Let us know your plans and water parameters.

I do not have water parameters yet because I have not started the tank. I'm planning on what fish will be in there so that I know what the water will need to be. I don't plan on having live plants in this tank. It will have a "blue" light. (The black light) I have gotten some neon plastic plants and will have a few other things for hiding in it.

It would be a good idea to test your tap water and make your fish decisions based on that. It's difficult to artificially adjust the water to match the fish. A 20 gallon glofish tank should be a lot of fun !
