Question regarding my heater

I noticed today that my heater (Marineland 50 watt stealth pro) indicator light was flashing from red - green every 5 seconds. What does this mean? I googled it and even wrote the manufacturer even though I'm sure they are too "busy" to send a quick response..

Thanks for the help!

That's probably not good. I would do three things. First, keep a close eye on your tank temp in case your heater is going. Second, make certain your heater was not one of the Marineland heaters recalled for problems(!), and third (after unplugging the heater), very slightly move the temp adjustment on the heater, then plug back in. There is always the possibility that the thermostat is in a slightly strange position and that's making the bimetallic strip make and break contact quickly. Not likely, but give it a try.

I assume the heater is oriented in a vertical position?
