question on PH

I've had my 55g going for over 3 months now ,cycled and everything. I have a high Ph at 8.4(no, there's nothing in their to raise it. 8.0 out the tap that raises to 8.4 after couple days. Artificial plants and just your basic gravel. My question is that I've heard that over the course of time that the Ph will lower in the aquarium. Is this true? If so how long until I see results and how much of a decrease in the ph would I see.

Ph is directly tied to your KH. If your KH is low then yes your ph will naturally fall but if not then no it won't. Here have a read on this thread http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/f...quarium-73276/ it explains it much better then I can.
