I have 2 panda cories, the remaining of 5. They are very active and I often see them swimming around my tank. They do need an aged tank since they do not tolerate changes in water parameters well. I have been keeping an eye out for more panda cories to add with them, but have had no luck yet. I also have 3 cory aeneus orange laser-striped. They tend to stay under the driftwood that is in the tank and usually only come out when the lights are off in the tank in the evening. They are more skittish than the pandas, but I think that they are hardier as well - double check the "tropical fish profiles" on this.
