Quarantine Tank question

I am finally getting some Bolivian Rams for my main tank! A total of 5 juveniles, and am going to quarantine them after I get them. I have a 5 gallon tank that is used as a hospital tank if one of my fish needs to be removed from my main tank. I have only used it for one fish at a time which isn't often but it is empty right now with the exception of a few plastic plants. Is the 5 gallon tank too small to put 5 juvenile Bolivian Rams in for a couple of weeks for quarantine purposes?

I also have a 10 gallon planted tank that is being kept cycled with a couple of small tetra fish in it but I didn't know if I could use a planted tank as a quarantine tank or not.

Thanks

If the rams are very small ,the five gallon could work. I myself would prefer the 10gallon but if medicating becomes necessary, (hope not) then plants may take a hit.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

I would use the 10g as well. bolivian's can be territorial and you could end up with some problems in such a small tank (5g). How big is your main tank? 5 Bolivian's sounds like a lot for anything less than 125g, IMO. I only have 3 in my 120g.

My tank is 65 gallons. It is my hope that two of the five will pair up and I'll give the other three to a fellow fish friend. I don't have them yet because I am trying to figure out the best way to go about this before I get them.
