Most big box stores sell 10 gal. tanks for 10-$15. Get a glass top and a sponge filter with a small air pump and your done. The whole thing should set you back $30. Also check Craigslist, you can often do even better than that. Many people do not cycle their quarantine tank unless it will be in constant use, its just extra work. Instead put your sponge filter in your regular tank and then when you need to use your quarantine tank move it over, when your done rinse it and put it back in your regular tank, unless you are treating a sick fish that is.
