Pure ammonia?

I've been looking for one at safeway for hours and haven't found any...

What's some popular brands that sell pure ammonia? and what should the ingredients say?

I think there should only be one ingredient, ammonia. No perfumes, preservatives, mold killing agents, nothing but pure ammonia. I have never been able to find it in Safeway. I have only seen it in places like local hardware stores. Maybe a lawn and garden store that has a large selection of fertilizers or a chemical supply store.

And you will not find any unless you are into research somewhere.

"That stuff" is very, very lethal and very, very corrosive.

What are you trying to use it for?

Not industrial strenth, lol. It will still dilute. Used for cycling your tank without fish.

Why not just use a prawn or fish poop or some other ammonia source? It could be easier... :P

F4A:

I asked the question because I did know what Todd wanted with "pure" ammonia.

Folks:

I believe the "devil here is in the definitions"!

Mr. Todd:

as I indicated earlier you will not be able to purchase "pure" ammonia.

You will (or should) be able to purchase a 5% to 10% solution of ammonia in water which has only very, very few impurities.

These few impurities should not adversely affect your fishless cycle.

I got my ammonia from Boots the Chemist in the UK. I believe it is 9 percent ammonia, and can be safely used for cycling a tank.
