It's worth pointing out that these rasbora are actually Trigonostigma espei. But you got your point across.

I've got a school in a 33g with 3 Dwarf Gouramis and a school of Dwarf Chain Loaches. They're very happy.

It's a different tank, but I also have Bolivian Rams. If you like the Germans I'd urge you to at least look at these guys (they're cousins) before you make a purchase. Behaviors are similar. They're a bit hardier from what I've read.

30g SE Asian Tank
15 Lambchop Rasbora
2 Gold White Cloud Minnows
3 Dwarf Chain Loaches
2 Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami

55g Amazon Tank
2 Wild Type Angels
1 Marble Angel
1 Black Angel
1 Koi Angel
2 Bolivian Rams
14 Pristella Tetra
10 Dwarf Pencilfish
2-3 Twig Catfish (to come)

Putting pictures up right after i post this

Thanks for all the useful info!

I've kept cardinal tetras before with the espei and am considering it again. The rummy nose maybe also. I've checked out the Bolivians before too, and like them. My LFS can probably get them if i ask.

I just finished setting up my new tank and i'm posting pictures ASAP. Hopefully in like 10 minutes...lol.

Anyway i have another post going about this DIY project for cheap, so i'm going to post some pics there and also where they can be viewed on my aquariums tab.

I don't have the fish in there yet, going to get my temp just perfect in the new setup.
I used water from my old tank approx 20 gallons; as well as putting some of the old media in my new filter and old substrate as well. I should be able to avoid a mini cycle. Going to take some readings a little later.

If you move filter media and substrate containing bacteria to a new tank, don't forget to have a source of ammonia in the new tank. A fish or two is best. Without continual ammonia, the bacteria will die off. They must be "fed."

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
