Well, i was only saying pool filter sand cause i thought i had what i needed.
And apparently pool filter sand is too white, and causes a glare.

At my store in Cincinnati, It's $3.95 per 50 pound bag. For a 55, you'd probably need 2-3 bags to get about a 2 inch coverage.

At my store, the Pavestone Play Sand is stocked in the outside garden area with the pea gravel, pond stones, marble chips, etc. It might be a regional product.

One bag should be fine in a 55g tank. Unless you planning on having deep root plants about 1 LB per gallon is enough to give a cover of about an inch. No harm though in getting 2 bags, they should be about $3-4 dollars a bag for 50lb bags as mentioned.
