Pleco midnight snack

My pleco which I have posted about before thinking he had eaten a fish has actually this time eaten one of my snails. I watched him eat the snail out of its shell and I know some people will think this is irresponsible fish keeping but when the snail is being sucked out of its shell by the pleco there is no reason to stop the pleco having a meal. Any ways I could stop him before he eats the next snails? If it were fish I would be worried but it is only snails and they are slow so I can understand why he is aiming for them but are there any ideas out there.
Cheers,
Dylan.

What are you feeding the Pleco?

It's a common misconception that they eat algae. They only do that as juveniels, as they mature they switch to needing regular foods.
