platty eating micro sword.....

so umm my platty just tried to devour my micro sword... He even uprooted parts in the process... Is this normal?

Not really normal. When they do it they may be looking for alternate foods.You should try a variety of foods, veggies, an algae wafer once in a while. What do you feed?

I feed them flakes, granuels and little crisp things. I know i need to start feeding them vegies and things but i dont think i wannt to get into all that now.

Omega one Veggie flakes is good food to mix with whatever else you are feeding.
Doesn't have to be vegetables per sey.
Can easily find this food at most fish stores .(at least in my neck of the woods)

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

Feeding veggies is simple. A slice of zucchini or cucumber, maybe some spinach leaves. Blanch them in the microwave for 20 seconds. Just get a veggie clip. It's that easy.
