Piranah dilema

I did my usual skan on sites for bargain tanks and come accroos an add for a 3ft aquarium with 3 x 6" red bellied piranah, the aquarium in my honest opinion is way to small for them!!! Its a full setup and i have emailed the sellers to find out the asking price as its not listed. If i can afford it im tempted to purchase it, contact my lfs and see if they can find a new more suitable home for them.
Thus leaving me with a full setup hopefully on the cheap hehe, 3ft tank would go nicely in my bedroom

Just don't let the store mix them with any other piranha, even of similar size. These fish often don't accept new members into their established schools and it can end badly. That's why the big ones are hard to rehome, no one wants to risk adding new members to an established school.
Good luck with them though! They are probably in really bad shape!

That's a bit of a mess, but I agree - a 3 foot tank would look great in your bedroom, OR in mine! Good luck finding a better home for the current inhabitants. . . I hope it's as easy as a quick call to the lfs!

If they are in bad shape i have an empty 45g at the moment which would be an improvement that i could swiftly set up, its got to be a bit of an improvement on what they already have!

The risk would be bipassing the cycling stage but would be made easier by seeding it from my 2 other aquariums which have identical perameters.

the lfs i use are very knowledgable and could help tremendously

Iv also got to hope they arent asking to much for them! I cant really afford to buy but i cant stand fish suffering to any degree! On the cost front iv just spent roughly 450 on my last project and have bills flooding in..............grrrr bills!

Aww, well I hope it works out!
Maybe call your store beforehand about the fish, just in case. Unless you wanna be stuck with 3 piranha. Hehe.
