Three Items

Our test kit quality is such that what you observe as 7.2 the value may actually be 7.

I have PhUp and PhDown in my garage but they are there only for emergencies and I have never used them.

I do not "believe in" introducing chemicals, including Meds, into the tank's water, that such introduction is not typically desirable and as such I only do so when I feel that it is "absolutely necessary".

Agree with Tha Do, once you start using chems like that it will become a vicious circle. Why do you want to bring it down ?

Ditch the chemicals and get driftwood or bogwood.
