ph

i have been using those dip tests for a little while. and it has been saying that everything is ok.. but thanks to everybodys advise i finally got my master test kit today... and well all is good, but the ph is pretty high.. i dont remember the number, but none of the colors matched on the standard ph test, had to use the high level..so my question is what do you guys, and gals use to lower your ph..(standard comunity levels) and to maintain them.. i was figuring that even if you get them right on, your next water change would just bump them right back up..

thanks again

If your fish are fine, no need to fiddle with it. Consistent pH is better than changing pH. It's very difficult to lower the pH especially if your hardness levels are high. How high is the pH? I've kept several tropicals and coldwater fish in pH of 8.0 with absolutely no issues.

Then, I don't see why you need to fiddle with it. Leave it alone. A lot of fish are domesticated so they easily adapt to various water conditions.
