So it's a column. I have a 30 hex which is very similar and find it a very difficult tank to stock. I wouldn't get angels for either tank. I still think it would be best to move the fish from the 14 to whichever one you chose, and build their schools up to proper sizes.
I used to have 5 danios but had an accident with a partial water change.....
I know most people think more gallons is better - most of the time it is - but the shape of the tank is very important. I think the 29 would be better because it has more usable space. However, if you were going to stock the tank with small fish, the 50 could be better.
Corys are a schooling fish and should be kept in a larger group, which necessitates a larger tank.
