I used to have 5 danios but had an accident with a partial water change.....

And the corys? And I agree, they want more space.

We all have out own opinions on this - 5 is not a proper school size. It's marginal at best. What species? Zebras?

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

I appreciate the varied opinions as I learn. Yes, they are the zebras.

I know most people think more gallons is better - most of the time it is - but the shape of the tank is very important. I think the 29 would be better because it has more usable space. However, if you were going to stock the tank with small fish, the 50 could be better.

Corys are a schooling fish and should be kept in a larger group, which necessitates a larger tank.
