Exclamation Opinions on Bacterial Boosters

About one week ago or so I used bacterial boosters to help my new 5 gal tank get cycled quicker. It came with an aquarium set up package from my local fish store. I've used the boosters as directed on the bottle. I was just curious, what are your guys' opinions on the boosters? I hope I havent inadvertently harmed my tank by using them. I've read some contradicting things about the boosters on the web. What do you guys think?

Waste of money for the most part. There are a few out there that aren't too bad and contain live bacteria but they have a short shelf life.

Natural is the way to go. Is your tank cycled now?

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Ya i only used it because it came with the tank. I'm not sure if it is yet, its been one week. The local pet store does free water testing today so i think i'll bring my water in and check

ive used stability and stress zyme for my tanks. I like to think they work but its hard to tell since my tanks fairly well planted so i never got and issues introducing fish immediately.

A friend of mine uses it and his tank was unplanted when he dosed. He saw an ammonia spike and poured 1/3rd of a bottle of stability into his tank and the ammonia read super low the next day and was gone by the end of the week.
