Online purchases

Do many of you buy your plants and/or fish online? (UK). I don't have a good LFS so was just looking for your opinions on purchasing over the internet.

I'm in the USA and have purchased fish online 4x. 3x were very good experiences, 1x was dismal (bad luck with FedEx "overnigh" and a seller who didn't stand behind his guarantee). If I was looking for a fish I couldn't find locally, I would not hesitate to purchase through the mail again :)

thanks guys,

just had visions of drivers throwing boxes around!! I'm all good with fish at the moment but really unimpressed with the plant availabilty at any shops i've been to. May look to order a few in the next week.

Ive bought a lot of our fish online(uk) due to the fact that all the other fish retailers around where I live had countless diseases. I got the fish from Directtropicals they had a countless number of fish (excluding Marine they don't do them) They also had other asortments, amphibians etc. The prices were cheap and they came heated with there own personal van all alive and well in seperate bags( 6 months on not one casualty) I also buy the plants online from ebay for price etc also all very alive !

hi
i use ebay alot, some arrive in better shape than others.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
