I wash hands before putting them in to the tank and after taking them out. I'm not going to worry about it. Society has become so sterilized people get sick just looking at a Kleenex tissue.

Oh, I didn't think about how pot was legalized medically. I don't see any reason why pot should be legalized...

And ya good point about the fish TB. But do we really need to sign something with our name, address, and telephone number each time we buy a fish? Are they like going come check on us to make sure we're not getting diseased? >> A sign posted on the wall would be sufficient... like EVERYTHING else...

Oh and :X maybe I should be more careful about washing my hands after. Don't say "EW" at me but sometimes I don't RIGHT AWAY because I so often have my hand in an aquarium. D: tho I do usually wash my hands.

It's sad really. It boils down to lawyers I believe. If they didn't have you sign a waiver someone would buy fish, end up with TB and sue the store. Rather than read and learn on their own Uncle Cali is gonna take care of it for ya with a paper to sign. I'd refuse to sign. Then I'd have no fish. Speaking of that. Did your tank come with a warning that the silicone in the tank may cause cancer? Or that the glass may cause deep cuts and lacerations? I'd sue if not

Ahaha. It might have in some fine print that I didn't read... lol. The only way you could sue tho is if you stabbed yourself bad or got cancer from it though, right? O-o

I wouldn't bet on that. In fact some lawyer could probably get you money just for thinking about how you could get cut on a glass tank.

See I don't bother with the washing of hands. I start my syphon using my mouth, so washing of the hands seems kinda pointless after that. Actually I often eat dinner while changing water, cuz I never have enough time to get all my crap done. I know what CAN make me sick, the big question is what WILL make me sick?

My family runs a licensed "in house" daycare that has been running for 19 years(since I was born). I have like a super awesome immune system. I usually get sick once a year and its in Sept. when I go back to college from summerbreak. I didn't get sick last year though.... When I do its like a 5 day deal that I normally can function through, but feel like crap.

ATM we totally got kids in the daycare that are sick, some with 103 fevers. Cuz these parents totally dumped their sick kid on us >.> when we said not to bring him. Now like 3 kids are gone cuz they got sick.

Also cuz its a daycare almost everything in my basement has been chewed on by some kid or baby

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk

An example of a money making formula: McDonalds coffee+ flaming idiot+ lawyer= big bucks.

I ALWAYS wash my hands before putting them in the tank, almost ALWAYS forget to wash them after. I tend to think my fish are more fragile than myself.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

I only wash my hands before I put them in the tank if I think they are dirty. :S
