16 dollars wasted because I dont get a refund unless I pay 36 dollars for shipping. I spoke with these jerks on the phone and all they responded was "too bad"

dont waste your money buying from oddballpets.com if your trying to order something by mail it just doesnt work out.

please watch and share with friends and family.

It was the Assassin snail. I found the website by looking for assassin snail stores online that could ship them. Its so sad they put it in this tiny little bag with no food or anything.

but what was I thinking the store is in pensilvania and Im in Georgia how is something going to survive such a long trip...

please watch and share with friends and family.

Pennsylvania to Georgia, it's not that long of a trip! I've shipped a bag of RCS from California to North Carolina and all but two arrived alive. You don't put food in the bag because eating + waste = ammonia levels. I've also shipped snails from here to Vegas, no food, no problem.
Out of curiousity, how much did they charge you for the snail and how much was the shipping?
Next time use aquabid, here's who I would have purchased assasins from:

AquaBid.com - Your Aquatic Auction Website

Maybe I should go ahead and buy the above snails, and then I can send you one via priority. I'm almost certain I can ship a snail(s) and guarantee that it will arrive alive. Ron at my LFS told me last visit that California is thinking of outlawing these snails so I really should order some, in case the state does pass that law. I don't own any contraband, it's high time I did, lol.

Hi leogtr, I'm so sorry for this bad experience, and the loss of the snail ! (and money) I know you care very much for all living things. The trouble with Mail is it is the same as mailing a letter, maybe priority will get it to you in two days, but the extra shipping costs put the delivery into courier shipping which is air plane, or truck and they would have hopefully bagged it with oxygen rather than regular air like at the LFS. Also fish should be shipped with a heat pack and a time schedule to pick it up.
For example...
Look at this website's testimonial page: Please email us at lamhoufai@hot Read some of their stories or good experiences.
I don't think they ship to the USA but they do ship from Vancouver to Ottawa and Toronto. You have to meet the flight, it's all arranged prior, and you pay big for the service.
Just look the site over to get better understanding of how a good quality operation works to be aware. You would be better to have your LFS order one in for you and wait for it. That way it comes in their regular shipment packed accordingly. And they could hold one for you for a couple of days to de-stress from the journey.
oh ya... enjoy the fish pics!! I'm afraid to order... too stressful for me!!

really? what are RCS's?

oh right..so that means that they dont even feed them before sending them..

I paid 6 for the snail and 10.44 for the shipping. Wihich was stupid I know..

yeah yeah I heard that they are banned and restricted from some places Im not sure why...Im not sure Aunt Kymmie I just feel more hesitant about ordering live animals online now..Its just too risky I was tracking the Assassin snail and for some reason the snail stayed in Doraville a place not far at all from my house and I thought why wouldnt they just bring it? I was going to pick it up but I didnt and now I feel gulty but yeah temperature probably had something to do with his death. I really dont like it I really should've just gone and picked him up..

oh really? whats LFC stand for? I know it a petstore but Im not sure whats the acronym. Im going to ask if the petsmart or petco can order them..or this other store I know but yeah I hate when this die because of my ignorance. I shouldve know that cheap shipment was going to affect the snail's well-being.

fish picks? on your aquarium profile? ill check it out

please watch and share with friends and family.
