Yea tie em to the DW. You can also use a ordinary rock that you like to tie them to. Just drip vinegar over the rock first, make sure it does NOT fuzz (calcium) so its safe for your tank, then wash it and add to the tank.

I think between the lights, plants and ferts, once you stock that tank they green dust will subside quick. Otherwise add more pants to help absorb!
