The Nitrogen Cycle

Welcome to another episode of Aquahound's Dirty Little Secrets! In this episode I explain the Nitrogen Cycle aka "The Silent Killer" which is one of the most misunderstood topics in the fish keeping hobby today. Every new tank goes through this cycle and it is important to understand how and why we must go through this cycle before adding our fish. Hopefully this all makes some of the sense because it is a very complex cycle that can be dangerous and yet very important to starting up the biological filtration in our aquariums Leave a comment if I missed anything. Tanks!

What plants do you have floating?

Consider the needs of your fish before acting on your desires.

Those are dwarf water lettuce and they grow crazy fast with the new growth of runners off the main plant. Perfect for cutting down on high light if your plants don't require as much as you provide them
