well right now i'm a bit over stocked cause my platies just had babies. but they will be on their way to the store once they are big enough.

if i get the liquid tests and they say the nitrates are too high what is the best way to bring them down? water changes wont work too well for me cause my tap water has high nitrates as well. what should i do?

R/O filter system or Bottled water 50/50 with your tap water or even more filtered water depending on how much you have in your tap water.

If you want to get plants to reduce them, get some watersprite or Wisteria. Both are nitrate hogs and in my tanks they can take my nitrates to 0 in a matter of a couple days if I don't dose them when they are growing well.
