I have 7 zebra danios, as many of you know, danios are fin nippers. My ones nip occaisonally, never just picking on just one fish but rather everyone. I was just wondering when do you know if there is damage done to them? Besides the obvious of broken fins.
Usually the fish will become stressed and fail to eat which is often unusual on most fish but there are exceptions especially to the mouthbrooding cichlids.:)
Sent from my desktop or phone or whatever else I am holding on to
I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.
danios will establish a pecking order among themselves and constantly chase each other around and "nip" at each other. this seems to be the normal behaviour for these fish and they don't seem to suffer from it. they are very hardy fish, which is why they are recommended for cycling. i know it seems tiring, but they will probably always chase/nip each other, and if they slow down or calm down then that usually means something is wrong. lol =P have fun with them, they are quite interesting to watch.
