Smile New Tank Advice!!!

Hi guys!!

Bit of advice on a new tank would be wonderful :)
its a 24 litre tropical tank with a hang on filter. Plastic plants as its my first tank so don't want too much in one go.
The tank is currently cycling and has been for about a week now.
Im going to buy a master test kit today so ill put up the values of the water then but any advice on helping the cycling process or starting up the tank in a good way and some good hardy starter fish to get me going would be great.

Ill get values up later on as I said any advice is welcome :)

How are your currently cycling the tank?

The whole process takes minimum 2 weeks, but can take up to 8 weeks to finish. Average will be somewhere in the middle there.

You can use an aquarium optimizer. I use TLC for freashwater aquariums. It's loaded with beneficial bacteria (biological filtration). What kind of filter do you have?

I recommend adding a hardy fish that can withstand and help along the cycling process. I had (and still have the same) Lemon Tetras I put in a new tank the second day I put the water in it.

With plastic plants, you will have to clean them. Algea will cover them and it can be a pain, so I recommend some Guppies. They can tolorate varying water perameters and are great algea eaters.
