New Stocking Calculator by MOA

Hello All,

I recently completed my first production version of FishsheetA7, it is FishsheetA7.Version1. This new version has... a ton of new features. Some of the new features include greater filtration accuracy, better profile data for all species (especially goldfish species), click-to-follow menus, and it is somewhat idiot-proof (meaning that it is very hard to accidently alter an important function as most of the cells are locked). I would appreciate it if some of you would take a look at it and tell me what you think of it. I should have tutorials on my site (sites.google.com/site/moashowmanyfish) fairly soon for anyone that may get stumped. Also, it is still pretty similar to the prototype version and thus the old tutorials should be able handle most questions.

Thanks,
MOA

Hmmmmmm............ I'll have to take another look when I have more time. But first glance thoughts are that it's a little tough to navigate. I think we're all used to websites with search engines these days.

Having said that, as someone who uses Excel all day long, I can appreciate what you've put into this so far.

It would be interesting to have people submit their setup and then water parameters periodically for some correlation! :D

Have you collected any data from your tank(s) to see how well the nitrate curves match?

"The dynamic nature of aquariums means that modeling an aquarium in an effort to keep fish alive longer and under less stressful conditions is, in practice, the art of killing fish slowly."
The truth, spoken like a person very distant from marketing...hahah.

Looks like I'll have to wait to look at this at work...my newly updated (but not yet tested) open office doesn't seem to be up to the task of opening it.
Edit: Never mind! Was impatient.

Oh! Much nicer than the last version I tried. I'll fill it in tomorrow. 2:30am is WAYYYY past my bed time.

Hello Again,

Thanks for all the input! Also, I would appreciate it if people who have completed the spreadsheet would send their completed spreadsheets to me via email (email address is on my website). This way I can continue to refine the formulas based on actual user input :).
