If you bought frozen bloodworms, keep them frozen and just break off a piece to thaw out for your fish. You should not feed just bloodworms. The fish need a variety of foods just like we do. If you only feed bloodworms its like us trying to live on just doughnuts. It will fill you up but its not very nutritious. A good balanced flake or pellet food should be the main staple with occasional treats of the bloodworms.

You couldn't fit very many other fish in your tank. The basic rule of fish is 1inch of fish per gallon, full-grown. Guppies = 2in each, so 4in. Swordtails = 3-5in. each, so around 6in. You are at your load there.

You can do so many other fish with guppies and swords in the bigger tank. Saltwater set up are very time consuming and there's much more equipment that go along with these types of tanks. This link should give you a pretty good idea of what can be mixed with what you have and it gives you pics so you can see if you like them of not.
