The people next door built their home, and the husband's parents live right behind them. The parents live on the main HWY, we live on a CR. The neighbor was able to hook to "city" water by accessing it from his parents property. City water does not run down our CR but is available on the main HWY. We are a very very small town not even a stop sign....a blow through and if you don't know we are here you'll miss us lol.

I used to live in a "blink and you'll miss it" town... except we all had wells. I see in the states that a lot more smaller municipalities and communities have treated water, not very common in Canada, easier access to ground water I suppose.

Jeff.

Total years fish keeping experience: 7 months, can't start counting in years for a while yet.

The shotgun approach to a planted tank with an LED fixture

Small scale nitrogen cycle with a jar, water and fish food; no substrate, filter etc

Update, I did the water change of about 40% went and got the Prime stuff before I did. We lost one gouromi, but the water looks like it's clearing up, I am taking a water sample in to the pet store in the morning to see what the status is, until mine arrives I will ask what the paramiters are and write them down.

Thank you everyone for the advice today....I hate we lost a fish but I am glad we haven't lost more. Hopefully we wont loose anymore.
