New Gravel Residue

I've been on a massive tank purchasing spree and I just set up my third tank. The problem is that I used a gravel I don't normally use. It required tons of rinsing and I obviously didn't rinse it well enough in one of my tanks. The tank is set up, it's cycled, divided, planted and I have two bettas in it. The problem is that it's ever-so-slightly cloudy. I thought it may have been a film on the inside of the tank since it was new. So during my last water change I rubbed the sides down with filter floss. No luck. Tonight I noticed that my betta had blown his first bubble nest. On the top of the bubbles was a slight brown sprinkling - like the gross stuff you see on the top of dirty foam. I'm completely bummed out because I think I have to take the tank down and rinse the gravel again. Any advice? I sure don't want to have to re-cycle. Grrrr. Thanks.

Aggressive gravel siphon/water change and fine filter media may resolve...otherwise a tear down may be required.

Wonderful. Thanks AbbysDad - I didn't even think about using fine filter media. I'll go get some today and do an aggressive siphon. Fingers Crossed!!
