Yep, stay away from that stuff for sure, its made from dried grape vines so its soft and breaks down really fast. Tends to leech some nasties in the water as well if I remember right.

I bought driftwood from an online supplier, and it turned out to be Malaysian Driftwood! I boiled the smallers pieces, about 8 " and soake hem for a day or so. I boiled the big piece about 5 days ago, for about 8 ours on and off, and I kind of just left it to soak (I forgot about it), it could have went into my tank after boiling. I will place it and plant the other Anubias on it this week. The tannin that is released from the wood will not hurt your water or your fish, but as mentioned, it will lower your pH. The soaking is really intended for cosmetic purposes, and if you don't mind the "brownish" water, you can use it to get your pH down.
