so i got a new aquarium off craigs, it came with some pos filter. its like a aquaclear 50 dont know what that is or if its any good. i gave everything a good rinse and got it filled half r/o and half tap. the water looks like it was mixed with milk. dont know why seeing how there are no fish in it and everything was washed. the filter has a chunk of sponge in it but i highly doubt that is going to do anything idk. ive always use bio wheel's and this ones seems cheap and un reliable. its a 20 gallon what do you guys think?
when I picked up a new 5 gal from the side of the road and filled it with water it was milky too. I heard aeration helps clear the water, however i didnt have an airstone to try that. I left it for over a year. It just held random aquarium supplies, food ect. Until a few months ago I filled it up with water and it was clear. I really dont know why, but I dont know for sure how to get it clear. Ill look for you.
