I just got these guys last night. I have fully recovered from a bad case of ich (2weeks ago) were i lost 6 fish I picked the first one out because he looked like the venustus i lost. The fish guy said he did not know exactly what he was but was pretty sure he was not a Venustus. What do you guys think?
2nd fish just looked neat....
And i have no clue what in the world this little guy with the huge eyes is going to be when he grows up. Any input from the peanut gallery?
I would stick with that stocking for now and see how it works out..it may not long term as there are a few fish in there that may be aggressive to each other.
The only one i see being aggressive at all is the Labeotropheus fuelleborni. He has dug out his hole and leaves everyone alone as long as they leave his hole alone! how long before some of these guys reaqlly start to grow. The Venustus 10" really! WOW.
I have heard that feeding them good food is important to getting them to grow as well as regualr water changes. I do both. Omega one pellets and water change about 20% at least every other week. sometime weekly.
They are beautiful! I love the little guy. Looks like a tiny bee. lol
