I kinda went for messy as i wanted a more natural looking tank but i have a spare room in my house and plan to have a few tanks in there with different set ups so they wont all be messy lol.

I was going to take them out but some of my fish call them home now so left them in.

Tbh i like it the way it is but i am going to change the back ground and might add abit of bogwood.

Oh I wouldn't take them out! Have you thought about digging them into the substrate though? Just a thought.

And yes, I think you could find something that compliments your tank much more and adds to the effect better. I've even thought about just painting the back of mine black in order to have everything stand out better. Though I'd prob prefer to stick black paper stuff on.

That could look good just like a plain black background and ye i i have thought about digging them into the substrate just havnt got round to it. If i was to reorganise my tank should i leave my fish in or would it stress them out?

Id say it depends on the level of re-organisation you are thinking about. If you know exactly what you want and can work swiftly on one side of the tank and then move to the other i would imagine the fish would be ok on the other side and then vise versa as long as they still had places to hide etc on the other side and could feel safe.
However if this is going to be a massive affair and your just going to wing it as you go and this may take some jiggery, and then re jiggery (lol) then maybe putting them elsewhere for a short while might be in order.

Anyone?

Ye i think it would be more stressful to move the fish so when i do it i will leave the fish in.

Changing the subject i have decided to get a betta fish for my fish room after the new year :). Do you have any betta fish?

No, i have a 15 gallon that i did consider getting one for, but i just dont think i love them! haha.
If i dont end up putting a few barbs in it, which is what i want, its likely though that this will end up being a starter tank for a black kubomba goldfish - as my gf loves them.

I really like them but if i do get one i will have to choose a few tank mates for it but not many maybe a few neons. If i do get one il put a pic on for you to see.
