Releasing the Cherry Barbs - YouTube

The guppies were very interested in what was in the bag!

And, while taking pictures of the cherries, i decided to take pictures of the other fish in my tank..=]

My biggest male, Big Blonde Boy

My Red Male, with his unique dorsal fin..

electric yellow and rainbow male.jpg

Heres my most unique gup, my favorite male, hes got a rainbow body, and a cool orange and navy spotted tail. He seems to be the only male with a girlfriend, who is my electric yellow tailed female. Rainbow male chose her, and they swim together, but they are constantly interrupted by my other two males, who, when rainbow decided on her, it made them want her too! But Rainbow has always
displayed in front of her, swims next to her, defends her from the other males..Its cute!

spotted tailed female.jpg

My spotted female, who i believe will be giving birth soon! She didnt eat, though raced around with the others during feeding..and shes hiding in the plants at the top...I think its baby time!

red tailed blonde female.jpg

This is one of my two blonde red tailed females, this one had a bit of fin missing when i got her, and her tail has grown nicely in. The other one has a redder tail than this one.

rainbow tailed female.jpg

My rainbow tailed female, who isnt really showing her blues and greens in this picture, but is really bright in real life.

black mama.jpg

Black Mama! She is always fat, always square, has a gradient black tail, instead of just the fin, and i love her! Shes a bit more shy than the others, and kinda just does her own thing..

And this, is my black masked Rosy Red Minnow...She/he helped me cycle my tank, and has an awesome Zorro mask..=]

I got some Pristella Tetras for my tank, started with seven, one ended up being a bleeding heart, so i returned it, and got some more, and now my school is at ten.

Also, tomorrow my pet store is getting its fish in, so i should be grabbing at least four more cherry barbs.

That will take my stocking up to:
9 guppies [3m6f]
10 pristella tetras
12 cherry barbs [6m6f]

Im also on the watch for honey gourami, as id like three females, or a male and two or three females.

And cories!! Im going to be finding out how many/what species i can order from my lps, if at all.

Here videos of my pristellas!

Sad, Big Changes...

So, I found out my boyfriend, who was doing my water changes, was using the same gravel vac for ALL of my tank, including my crayfish tank, which transferred something to my 45, and killed all my barbs.
In a panic, i moved all my guppies, and the fry to a spare 15 gallon i had, and watched sadly while my barbs dropped one by one.

The guppies never showed symptoms, still havent, though i am watching them carefully.

Since all my cherry barbs died, my boyfriend went out and bought me some, now i have six cherry barbs in my tank, alone. well see if they do alright, and keep an eye on the gups, and itll be even longer for the pristellas, in QT.

I had taken everything out of the tank, so i needed to do a quick scape with the tank, and here it is..i really like it..=]

I've grown parrot's feather in outdoor pools. The part that grows out of the water keeps leaves, but the stems that are under water lose their leaves. If you plant it, you will have stems under water and foliage above water.
