I've been offline a while, I had to put the tank set up on hold because my wife and I just bought a house about a week ago and we're moving in around the end on may. So I've decided it might be a little foolish to set up the tank only to move it 2 months later. As for the time since then what I have been doing is picking up some supplies as the time was passing. What I've purchased is mostly wood but am now having a little bit of "mid tank set up crisis" lol, maybe a little exaggerated
... A friend of mine suggested that I go witch a lake Malawi set up (beautiful fish), but I'm wondering how hard is it to maintain a clean tank with so many rocks; won't all kinds of crud get into them? If I've done my research correctly this kind of setup requires close to 100-200 lbs of rocks setup in a way so as to give the fish refuge. Is this setup as big of a pain in the rear as I think it is going to be?? Should I stick to my original idea of an amazon set up, maybe a Congo?
